I’ve just tried my first HumanFusion fitness workout and I’m impressed. I’m looking forward to trying some of their other formats, because I’ve only tried one so far. All the modules are based on different dance styles, but they’re ideal for non-dancers too. I like the fact that the classes are very approachable for someone who’s never danced, but still offer enjoyment to an ex-dancer like me. The class I attended was FoxyFusion, where I got the chance to channel my inner Dita Von Teese! But that’s only one of the HumanFusion modules, and that’s the great thing about the program. Gyms that sign up HumanFusion aren’t stuck with one style of fitness class – there’s OrientalFusion (bellydance-based), WarriorFusion(kickboxing-based), ZenFusion (yoga based), and more. Varying your fitness regime ensures your body doesn’t get used to one type of exercise (which will cause you to ‘plateau’).
The other thing I like is HumanFusion’s class structure. In Zumba, things happen so fast, a routine is often over before I’ve got the moves! In HumanFusion, each class is based around one complete routine – so by the end of the class, you can dance it through confidently and leave with a sense of achievement – as well as a healthy glow!. Finally, I love the fact that HF modules are all created and taught by dancers. Zumba is dance-based too, but you don’t need any dance experience to teach it – so I cringe when I see how some Zumba instructors massacre the steps.
