Urban Wear And How Will It Differ
Urban wear can be defined as a fashion style that mixes culture, lifestyles and ideas. Urban fashion popped up from the hip hop tradition of the latest years. In the late 80s and until the 90s, hip hop clothing lines became available made by no less than the music performers themselves. They attempted to create their unique personal creativity and style into a trend that’s currently one of a kind in itself. Urban style breaks away from the popular by adopting exactly that personality by not necessarily conforming to the fashion even with prom dresses. Even though it is said that urban fashion started in New York, it easily spread and developed bringing in influences from Europe, Asian, Caribbean and African cultures as well as a different music genre like hip hop, punk, rock, and even indie music along the way.
Urban clothing line also embraces the reality of things. The look and notion of evening dresses makes it possible to wear them on a normal day. It’s often referred to as the fashion of the streets. But urban fashion isn’t street wear. The latter is normally connected with classic sneakers and school attire that in some areas have developed into the punks, gothic and hippies subcultures. Urban trend is more edgy and sometimes includes the words “practical”, “functional” and “comfortable”. Urban clothes are light but they should be long lasting and appear great as well.
The idea is develop a clothing line that may work in typical city environment. The superior and lavish core style makes stiff, formal and even constricting clothing not very ideal in an atmosphere where you have to transfer and get used rapidly to varying conditions. And because each and every urban atmosphere is a little different, urban styles are totally different from city to city. Take the urban fashion of Japan for instance. Modern styles, the application of the most practical of materials and the special mixing of personal and commercial designs characterize their urban clothes. You can find in Japan style subcultures like Lolita, gothic and the now popular cosplay fashion style.
Speaking of culture, the distinctions of urban fashion around the world is extremely specific. Mainly because urban fashion is seated on lifestyle, the kind of urban clothes in one country embraces the influences of their specific culture. As an example, at one point in the American urban fashion scene hip hop artists which more often than not are African-Americans dove into their African cultural traditions and borrowed a lot of elements and incorporated them into their clothes. In summary, urban wear and exactly how does it vary lies primarily on the cultural heritage of the place and on their own originality.
